  • GSP could actually lose to Johnny Hendricks!

No kidding...that guy's a beast. He's got punching power comparable to a boxer. Also, he has a solid ground game, which was demonstrated against Chris Conduit. What do you think?

Most likely boring ass LnP session, but I hope Hendricks KOs that boring Canadian's ass.

        Worst match up for gsp.

A very strong, solid "mma" wrestler with legitimate ktfo power. Add southpaw to that.

Idk, gsp can definitely lose this one.

GSP will probably win but Hendricks has a decent chance. He has huge ass knockout power as well as great wrestling ability. GSP is on the downside of his career in my opinion. Ever since his return from that huge layoff/surgery he hasnt looked the same.

Not really. Hendricks has a punchers chance and that's basically it. If he lands a few times he could end it, but he's to aggressive in his attack to be effective.

St. Pierre matches up well with aggressive opponents. He counters aggressiveness with takedowns and in fact he gets most of his takedowns off of counters, not from being the aggressor. Nobody that has pressured St. Pierre has beaten him or even had success.

Hendricks has a slight chance just like every GSP opponent. 5 round decision for GSP incoming

i would say he has a good punchers chance. hendricks wrestling is way better than diaz's and diaz was able to stuff some takedowns.

Yep, that's the key. Hendricks showed some very impressive wrestling against Condit, but most likely gasses against GSP, if he plans on playing the grappling game with GSP.

That's the point I was trying to make. When GSP initiates the takedowns his success rate is lower than when he uses takedowns as a counter.

If you watch the Diaz fight, the Alves fight, the second Serra fight, The Hardy fight, the BJ Penn fight, whenever his opponents press forward he shoots underneath and they have no way of stopping it. He's a master at timing those double leg knee taps.

Hendricks is a very aggressive fighter and those pressure styles just don't work on GSP.

Good points. GSP is a first rate takedown specialist, I'll give him that. Also, the way Hendricks charges forward without any sort of precaution against counter attacks....that could, and will be exploited by St.Pierre.

Hendricks is a hugely entertaining fighter, but his complete lack of technique when punching could give him a disadvantage. That being said, he could be GSP's toughest opponent yet.
