  • Gennady Golovkin v Sakio Bika

    Break this fight down.

How competitive is this fight if Golovkin moves up and who wins?

Well Bika is not getting knocked out, and Golovkin will be in the dirtiest fight he's ever been in for sure. He'll most likely get cut from a headbutt and roughed up, his heart would be put in to question because I know Bika is not going to lay down.

Not a good fight for Golovkin. Bika doesnt do much for his status, Bika cant make MW, and Golovkin most likely gets cut up pretty good which hinders his trainin. Just a bad idea for my boy all around.

Sources tell me that the GGG-Macklin fight is getting closer and closer to the goal-line for June 29th on the Tri-State area.... #boxing

Very good fight. Golovkin's best opponent to date and some one who can really test him.

I like Bika but he's not indestructible, he got dropped by Bute and Codrington. He's a rough MFer though, his ruggedness and awkwardness would definitely trouble GGG. It would be a brutal and ugly fight, I see him going down once or twice and losing a decision.

I think Golovkin would win possibly by KO and possibly on points. I think he has more speed, skill and power than Bika. Bika is a rough tough fighter and sometimes a dirty fighter. He hits pretty hard and takes a good punch. Nobody has an easy fight when they fight Bika. I think GGG. is a great fighter and he seems better than Bika in just about every way. Bika has size edge being a big 168 pounder against a natural middleweight that GGG. is. I see no reason that GGG. should make things harder on himself by going to 168 and fighting bigger, stronger fighters when he has no trouble making 160 and middleweight is such a strong, exciting division now.

If GGG is as good as people claim he is he should destroy Bika.

Anyways, This is actually a very good fight for GGG. Bika is the type of boxer that will most likely lose to the very best but gives everyone a very tough fight. If GGG could do a number on the same man that gave Ward and Calzaghe tough fights then he is really going to make a statement.

GGG would beat him but he would suffer some nasty injuries in doing so.

Why is that? Like you said, neither Ward nor Calzaghe destroyed him. They're p4p, and neither guy was coming up in weight.
