  • The (Real Money) Boxing Bets Thread

    Discuss odds, bets, etc. FTW.

I'm gonna play Emmanuel Taylor -155.

I'm a fan of betting pretty good defensive fighters, with decent accuracy, against a guy that doesn't move his head for a damn thing.

Wanted to bet the Abdusalamov/Bisbal UNDER 5.5 rounds, but no way I can play it straight at -325. I might, however, parlay it with the OVER in the Hopkins/Cloud fight, and Thurman straight.

    Anyone betting anything this weekend?

I think I'm going to bet £100 ($150) on Hopkins.

My only worry is Don King's influence.

I think you've got a genuine concern. I think Hopkins is the only way to bet this. But I'd keep it small, because you know they can rob him. And unfortunately, you have to take that into consideration when betting on boxing.

I got Hopkins too, dont necessarily think he is favourite but at 6/4 its worth a punt!

Trout vs Canelo has ridiculously wide odds in my opinion, cant believe they have Trout an 11/5 underdog. Definitely putting some on that too.

£1000 pounds on Groves this weekend wins you £5 something tells me this isnt a hard fight...

        Great thread by the way

Glad I got that Taylor bet when I did. He's moved to -185 at 5dimes. -200 at Bovada.

I dropped £40 on Guerrero at 7-1 because Its a small bet which i can afford to lose, but I would be happy with the upside
I have £10 on Zab beating Garcia at 4-1.

            No big roller style here

I'm gonna put a small bet on KeAndre Leatherwood at +650.

He has fought a who's who of "who's?", and is giving up a ton in height/reach, and his lone loss did come to a guy who, coincidentally, was taller and longer, but I don't see this as a fight where he is a 6.5/1 underdog.

Centeno Jr is the better boxer. Awkward. Switches stance multiple times during fights. But he's not overly strong, not overly fast, and he DOES GET HIT.

I'd rather take a small stab at a big reward now, than look back tomorrow and wish that I had.

I am not betting any fights this weekend but if Thurman is a big favorite I think betting on the other guy might be a good bet. I think Thurman may lose and if he is as big a favorite as I think he might be then you could make big money on a small bet if Thurman loses.

I think you can get like +600 or so on Zaveck. If Thurman tires, I suppose Zaveck could get him. I like Thurman to win it, though.
