I was explaining to my g/f yday about TopRank/WBC and the JCCjr debacle etc... and deadly serious, she said "And you still watch this stuff?! It sounds like Wrestling!" Caught me off guard a little bit... From a non-fan's point of view, this **** looks even more ridiculous than it does to us.
I was like 'Well, it's not all like that.... There's other promoters and sanctioning-bodies that are slightly better..."

It's just embarrassing. I know we've all thought this: 'If I ever became a super-billionaire, I'd love to buy all the sanctioning-bodies and turn them into one REAL organisation with REAL rankings. Only one champion per weight. Not-for-profit, with strict drug-testing and mandatory defences. No Sulaiman-type figure doing what he sees fit, instead have an elected board with every pro-boxer ranked in the top 100 of any weight having a vote.'

But no. We have this turd soup.

As for the topic, most casuals, and non boxing fans I know think its all rigged and filled with BS. They dont think its fake in terms of the contact, but scripted to an extent, and with predetermined winners...
