Recently made a highlight video of the fight and was wondering what you guys opinions were of my countrymen ending up with a KO on his record.

Did the ref do the right thing? What should he have done?

It was so damn low, I've seen it many times and Buchanan was robbed. There had to be a re-match..... there is little justice in boxing.

A rematch should have happened. It was one of the worse low blows and the pain looked 100% legit imo

but they were both fighting after the bell and if someone hits u after the bell sometimes it can be justified to hita guy low.....

even if duran shouldnt have won....

Buchanan paid the price for sneakingly wearing his trunks way to high. His trunks were very close to his rib cage. His belly button was where his crotch should be.

yes, and the pain was real,,,... unlike Stingers claim in a later post,,,, this is as close as I can bring myself to reply (indirectly......lol) to his outrageous claim on post #8......... yes I agree with your beleif in Duran but I ain't sure whether he's 1 or exactly where as ATGLW but he was certainly great,..... Duran was a far better LW a few years later,..... won a lot lot of fights in the staredown alone,........ Eye's like he had rabies , a scary Non-Gringo.... and it was usually hasta la vista in his fights,.... what about all those consecutive 1st round KO's he had ,.... Man O man
