  • Margarito CSAC Suspension Hearing

I have been trying to track down a transcript of all that was said at this hearing. I think Mark Vester was there covering the event, but I did not receive an email back from him when I asked for it.

Does anyone recall seeing a live update somewhere on the internet?

FYI it's for a project for school, not to dig up more tired conversation about whether Margarito cheated against Cotto (although I'm sure that is what this thread is going to turn in to ).

You try actually contacting the CSAC? They should have the records/minutes and they should be available to the public.

I did... the NSAC was very helpful when I emailed them. Keith Kizer emailed me back within a day giving me the records/minutes of the hearing to apply for relicensing in Nevada, but California never got back to me when I emailed them.

Sorry, hopped offline. The CSAC is the California State Athletic Commission. Margarito had to appear in front of them after the Mosley fight to discuss his actions, which ultimately led to the revocation of his license for at least a year, when he could reapply, although getting his license back was not guaranteed.

Someone from another site covered the relicensing hearing in California with live updates, but I haven't been able to find live updates from his suspension hearing in February of 2009.

I would stay on CSAC although if you are under time constraints I would understand looking for another way.

It's for my thesis due in a little less than a year. I'll keep hammering at the CSAC if no one has it for me in this thread.
