Ultimatly Pac would throw a lot less like he did against the clever JMM, against Floyd.

Firstly, Why do people get upset when an analyst picks against their favourite fighters? Secondly i disagree with Al, How many punches did Pac threw against JMM (The only counter-puncher he has fought over the last few years)..

Pac would not throw 1000 odd punches because he knows he would play right into Mayweather's hand, And whenever he throws he leaves himself open for counters, That is the beauty in fighting a counterpuncher, Calculating how Mayweather would make Pac miss 600 punches out of 1000 is totally wrong lol.

floyd doesn't counterpunch against southpaws. watch every fight he's ever had against them he always tries to get off first because his defense is leaky against them. he also doesn't have the firepower or combo punching marquez has which allows marquez to halt aggressive fighters.

This is true, he leads alot more against southpaws.

The fight would be really technical, Pac throwing 1000 punches? lol.

Exactly...he was hurt against corley, hurt against judah. He fought great fights but off the front foot. He goes to a more conventional guard because as a righty if you shoulder roll a southpaw your in the line of the straight left hand down the pipe. The angles are not the same he can't deflect it with the same success. I think Bernstein's view is a definite possibility.

In terms of the marquez comparison, I see this as a reason why floyd can win, but honestly I think manny now is a much better fighter, I think he would stop marquez within 3-4 rounds now. Even in the 2nd marquez fight pacquiao was still leaping in too much, and he didn't have the workrate.

The delivery of his punches is much better now he gets his feet into position and uses more feints and upper body movement, he is generally more comfortable in punching range, and on the inside. I also think the weight making took something out of him at 130 and below.

I can agree with some of this but when was he hurt against Judah?

Can't remember exactly what round it was either 2,3, or 4. hurt...is probably a little strong, but definitely stunned a little as he didn't throw back for a while and he doesn't normally let fighters throw power punches at him unanswered for that period of time, apart from the time when he put on that defensive exhibition against philip n'dou.

Its funny this has come up because that shot that judah caught him with was because he was using the shoulder roll and judah just slipped the left hand in right on the button, which is exactly the point I made earlier

We all know Floyd doesn't have the power to hurt Pacquiao. And Floyds pull counter only works against orthodox fighters who have slower handspeed than Floyd. Pacquiao has faster handspeed and throws in combinations from all angles. Pacquiao has nothing to fear in retaliation because Floyd punches to outpoint you not to knock you out.

Pacquiao would win by KO or by a wide decision like Bernstein said.
