  • What is that d-bag MMA writer Jake Rossen's obsession with boxing ?

This guy constantly writes articles on the MMA section of ESPN bashing boxing. I have yet to see any of the big boxing writers take any shots at MMA but yet this douchebag is constantly ragging on boxing. He made a statement in his blog that somehow James Toney's loss and him laying on the mat looking at the ceiling is symbolic of what is going to happen to boxing. He must feel threatened by boxing or he must be a typical MMA guy that i know. They didnt grow up watching boxing and therefore cant get their facts straight about boxing. Boxing has seen a horrible year but i have yet to see anywhere where he has said that the last 2 big boxing events sold more PPV then the last 2 biggest UFC events. I didnt see anything about Pac drawing 51,000, or that the UFC event in Oakland a few weeks ago drew about the same as what Ward draws there. This dude needs to get a life and focus on MMA. I dont see Dan Rafael on ESPN bashing UFC. Here is the last paragragh of his blog.

"Fair or not, Toney had a big "boxer" banner on his chest this weekend. And for the first time in his 83-fight career, he got a good look at the ceiling at the same time his native sport got a good look at its future."

He's a b!tch, all those MMGay writers that criticze boxing or its popularity are hatin ass b!tches. B!tch is a fad riding f*ggot probably had a fauxhawk when it was fashion.

A lot of people hate the Yankees, but put that aside for a moment, so you can understand this analogy. Boxing vs. MMGay is like the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry. Most Red Sox shirts say 'Yankees suck', instead of saying 'Red Sox rule'. Meanwhile most Yankees shirts say 'Yankees 27 time WS Champions'. MMGay=Red Sox..... Boxing=Yankees.

MMA is an already dying fad and he's just mad he won't have a job in 2 years.

James toney does NOT represent boxing, especially at heavy weight.

People hate on boxing because of douchebags who make comments like you guys do in this thread.

People hate on mma because of douchebags who write articles like Jake Rossen does.

MMA fans call out Rossen as an idiot all the time. He's not one of the more respected writers out there.

Seriously...when you guys make comments like "mmgay", do you think anyone can take anything you say or write seriously? Even REAL boxing fans can't take you seriously when you make comments like that.

Add a little more depth to your criticism of anything when you speak of it. To say something is "gay" reflects more on you as a person then it tells anything about what it is you are speaking about.

Wow...you're stereotypical, ****phobic AND racist all at once.

The rest of you in this thread should check and see the type of person you're aligning yourself with - and take a good look in the mirror.

Were you actually aware that psychologists have studied the sexuality of guys who get turned on by men doing activities, such as wrestling?

Were you aware that if a guy is straight then watching guys fighting isn't sexualized in their minds? It is if a straight guy watches two women though - that activity is very erotic to a straight guy.

Two men fighting only becomes sexualized if you, as a guy, leans toward ****erotic tendencies.

                  Food for thought buddy...

He is also made a HILARIOUS mistake in his most recent Boxing-Bash fest of an article.

He said He respects James Toney despite his personality flaws because he is man enough to Fight in Both Boxing and MMA... which by his own logic means he respects NONE of the MMA fighters cause they never tried boxing... LOL. (ok maybe there are 2 or 3)

He also went on to say that guys like TYSON, Mayweather, Lennox Lewis, etc are all basically sissies because they never got inside the cage despite being offered very lucrative offers... As if they couldnt make 10x those offers in the ring. Tyson, Mayweather, and Lewis All made 10+ million EVERYTIME they stepped into the ring.

The guy is just a brain-washed MMA wannabe douche.
