  • Ok, anybody who thinks Kotelnik won that fight has to be kidding themselves.

Get a grip, Kotelnik was in all the rounds, but was gettign edged in a lot of them. He landed cleaner, especially with his jab, which landed almost at will, but he kept losing the close rounds. Throwing one punch at a time, and simply got outworked.n I was very fair with my judgeing and personally had it 116-122 or 8-4. The rounds were close bbut Alexander was winning them.

Also I must say I was a bit disappointed that Alexander elected to trade flurries rather than sit down on his punches as we saw in the past. I told you guys that Kotelniks style would give Devon problems, since he elects to stay in the pocket at times when his inside game is still under development. When he was on the outside he did some excellent work, but I was also bothered by how he backed up a little too much in this fight and chose to look cute, whn he would stand his ground with guys just as strong as Kotelnik, like Urango. Styles make fight guys.

That said Alexander won the fight clearly going by round by round, he took almost all of the early rounds and split the mid to late rounds. Kotelnik is no joke either he is the guy who outboxed maidana a while back. I also must remind you guys Kotelnik vs Khan was also 8-4.

I agree 100% with your post.

    Alexander won clearly.

Khan ducks punchers and is a joke.

Bradley and Alexander are the best at 140.

Another Euro fighter bites the dust.

You are in the minority on this Bully, Devon was throwing alot more but punching air, gloves, and elbows.

Kotelnik made his shots matter and I think won 7-5.

Alexander is too tight. Sitting on his punches or not, he isn't a hard puncher. I kept telling people that, and it's all because he's too tense. He needs to loosen up man.

the point isnt who won the fight,

more of the fact that a euro bum just showed up Alexander that he isnt Great but average,.

he may improve, he's still young.

            But right now he's nothing.

              You're a delusional fool

Alexander was hitting gloves and air all night

Kotelnik beat the **** out of him and clearly won the fight.

These American hypejobs are ALWAYS getting owned by Eastern Europeans.

Eastern Europeans are taking over boxing. You xenophobic Americans and racists out there better get used to it.

I had the fight 116-112 for Alexander as well. Devon took some real clean shots to his mug all due to not keeping his hands up. This made it look like Devon lost tonight but his work rate help him to overcome Kotelnik's precise shots.

You stated that Kotelnik landed the cleaner punches which I agree with. According to Compubox (while not gospel, it is a useful indicator) Kotelnik also landed more punches.

How did the fighter who landed more shots and cleaner shots only win 4 rounds? I may agree that Alexander won if he had landed more, but he didn't...
