I love Roy but the guy is shot to pieces. I actually think all the criticism that has come B-Hop's way has disguised how woeful Roy really was.
I mean, I know why he's fighting like that. He's 41, been knocked out 3 times now. But he knows he's gun-shy and doesn't have it anymore, so why does he continue to fight? I don't think it's fair anymore that he's allowing his loyal fans to watch this gun-shy, shot version of himself.
What's worse is that he's putting these fights on PPV too. I'm not saying he's doing this strictly for a payday, I think he's addicted to fighting and all that comes with it, but to carry on now is making a mockery of the sport and his fans loyalty. I don't even think he should have a farewell fight, as he had the chance on ending it with the win over Sheika in Pensalcola.
This is hard for me to be so critical of a fighter I love, but it has to be said.
