and tried to win, tried his damndest, got himself motivated and in shape and gave it his all.

much better than most modern heavyweight "contenders" who leave their heart in the hotel room before a fight

very true, Earl you guys are lucky to have Haye representing your country as a champion. He is single handily going to bring the HW Division back.

Agreed. He was game. As dull as he has been to watch in some fights, no one can accuse Ruiz of being a quitter. Despite numerous setbacks, he has picked himself off the canvas everytime. However it doesn't seem like he has the same effectiveness that he used to have with his style and should probably retire at this point.

Yep and **** the haters Haye put on a dominate performance winning all but 1 round on my card and knocking down a ****ing durable guy about 5 times! on his way to a 9 round TKO. This forum is BS really what more can people expect?? Ruiz is a top 10 HW for sure and came out looking good from this imo

I agree, unlike the Klitschko-Rahman fight, Ruiz was an older fighter that was determined to win and actually came in shape.

The fight was like watching paint dry, but at least you could tell early on that Ruiz wasnt there to collect a check. That was good to see. That 38 year old with no legs, speed, power, or movement who was knocked out in a few seconds by the great David Tua sure did try.
