really its the fault of a racist America, though jack johnsons pride and lack of modesty really didn't help his race make friends.

I couldn't say one way or the other. I doubt we'll ever know as the prevailing though among the common black wasn't really recorded in those days mores the pity. I do know Johnson did himself no favors when he drew the color line himself after winning the title.
