    coach told my boy to go do his running and sprints and 30min later has him spar a pro with a 14-9 record. my boy gets stole hard in the 2nd round by a cross and knocked down complaining that the coach made him run.


    I think the coach was in the wrong but at the same time I think my friends a ***** . If he didn't get knocked down, he wouldn't be whining like a ***** but flexin his nuts.

    well in fairness b4 one spars they should do running and b tired and wore out makes it easier when one fights for real fresh. Now far as him maken him spar a pro well usually the pro's know how to take down their skill level a knotch to amateurs and help them instead of tryna beat them..sounds like coach shouldve got on2 his pro less he in no way was truly acten out...couldve jus caught ur boy tired and off balance wich is easy to do...i hate runnen my ass off then sparren but hey gotta do it

      In our gym nobody takes it easy on you unless you're a beginner and the trainer tells them to take it easy. Other wise when it comes to sparring the only real rule is if you get someone hurt, fall back and don't finish them. I see amateurs taking turns to spar with this one pro all the time. He doesn't take it easy on them. People get bloody noses. I think the mentality in our gym is why take it easy in sparring because in a real fight you have to go hard. You go easy in sparring you might go easy in a fight.


      As far as what the coach did to your boy I think that was poor coaching. He should of just told your boy to warm up cause he's gonna be sparring that 14-9 guy. But that's just my opinion.

        thats funny. tell your boy go to a different gym.

          It sounds like its easy to let egos get in the way here.

          Take the coach aside and tell him that what he did was questionable for these reasons and maybe he'll see you're logic.

            Or hell tell him to **** off and ask him if he's a trainer... and he obviously isnt... Do not do that, unless you wanna piss off your coach, thats definitely not somethin you wanna do.

              There's a lot of variables here though, How much did he run, what weight gloves, what kind of experience does he have, is in shape, was he talking smack, is he training for a fight. This stuff all makes a difference.

              If your friend sucks, than he probably shouldn't of been in the ring with fresh legs. If he has a lot of experience and wants fights, he needs to get use to fighting tired, better in the gym than in a fight. But if the pro was beating the **** out of someone who is not anywhere close to his talent level, than that's just ridiculous.
