That was the last time he lost, in the amatuers. From 1998 till the end of his amatuer career in 2004 he wasn't beaten, then he became pro in 2004 and has been undefeated since then.

Ward is the truth. Honestly, the bigger the fight the better the performance. He shut out miranda, which I thought he would beat but not own, and then obliterated Kessler who I thought h would eek by.

It is very impressive because in the amateurs and Olympics, you can't really duck anyone. So, Ward beat EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN HIS WEIGHT CLASS.... He has the potential to be An ALL TIME GREAT. And he has a very nice persona too. The kid will go far...

I was in 8th grade the last time he lost.....I been following him since the 04 olympics....remember my bro asking me in 2005 "who is the guy fighting like a cheap roy jones....I said, " andre ward, the guy who is next up after pretty boy floyd retires" he said," we'll see"


fast forward 11 years....my brother says ," damn, i looked up andre ward and he hasnt lost since the 90's, you were right!"
