First off all I want to say I'm dead wrong in this and will be rooting for Marquez in this fight. I just have analyzed the two fighters and I can't see Marquez beating Floyd in any way shape or form.
The one thing that sticks out is the old cliche' in boxing where they say, "A good big man always beats a good little man". I truly believe that and I think that will be the case on Sat night.
When I look at all the attributes, I just see Floyd winning on all of them.
Speed - Advantage Floyd
Power - Advantage Floyd
Strength - Advantage Floyd
Size - Advantage Floyd
Endurance - Push even though you could argue JMM might have a slight advantage.
Age - Floyd, he's the younger man and even though he's on an almost 2 year layoff,he's still a prime fighter.
Heart - Advantage JMM, though we haven't seen Floyd really get pushed to the limit so I can't say Floyd doesn't have heart.
Chin - Advantage Floyd??? Who knows because we never really seen Floyd take a tremendous shot. JMM has a good chin even though he has been down a few times but he's never been KO'd.
If you talk strategy, then I don't know what Nacho is cooking up but it better be something good because I can't see a strategy that can beat Floyd with those disadvantages.
If JMM rushes forward, he will play right into Floyd's counter punching skills.
If JMM decides to box from the outside, the speed and length of Floyd will win that and he would also risk losing a decision BECAUSE HE CAN'T LET THE JUDGES DECIDE THIS FIGHT. we all know the boxing world wants Pacman vs Mayweather.
If JMM let's Floyd come forward, then he might have his best chance here but again, speed will be the biggest enemy of JMM.
The only way I see JMM beating Floyd is if he can pressure him thoughout the entire fight and someway avoid taking big shots in the process.
I will rooting for JMM because he is a true warrior and a great fighter but I don't want to see him get ko'd. Hopefully it will be a close, tough fight.
Vamos Marquez!!!!! Echale Ganas!!!
