  • I see no way Marquez can beat Floyd....

First off all I want to say I'm dead wrong in this and will be rooting for Marquez in this fight. I just have analyzed the two fighters and I can't see Marquez beating Floyd in any way shape or form.

The one thing that sticks out is the old cliche' in boxing where they say, "A good big man always beats a good little man". I truly believe that and I think that will be the case on Sat night.

When I look at all the attributes, I just see Floyd winning on all of them.

    Speed - Advantage Floyd

    Power - Advantage Floyd

    Strength - Advantage Floyd

    Size - Advantage Floyd

Endurance - Push even though you could argue JMM might have a slight advantage.

Age - Floyd, he's the younger man and even though he's on an almost 2 year layoff,he's still a prime fighter.

Heart - Advantage JMM, though we haven't seen Floyd really get pushed to the limit so I can't say Floyd doesn't have heart.

Chin - Advantage Floyd??? Who knows because we never really seen Floyd take a tremendous shot. JMM has a good chin even though he has been down a few times but he's never been KO'd.

If you talk strategy, then I don't know what Nacho is cooking up but it better be something good because I can't see a strategy that can beat Floyd with those disadvantages.

If JMM rushes forward, he will play right into Floyd's counter punching skills.

If JMM decides to box from the outside, the speed and length of Floyd will win that and he would also risk losing a decision BECAUSE HE CAN'T LET THE JUDGES DECIDE THIS FIGHT. we all know the boxing world wants Pacman vs Mayweather.

If JMM let's Floyd come forward, then he might have his best chance here but again, speed will be the biggest enemy of JMM.

The only way I see JMM beating Floyd is if he can pressure him thoughout the entire fight and someway avoid taking big shots in the process.

I will rooting for JMM because he is a true warrior and a great fighter but I don't want to see him get ko'd. Hopefully it will be a close, tough fight.

    Vamos Marquez!!!!! Echale Ganas!!!

He can box him from the outside and try to make it close but I don't see it...

If he tries to swarm and rough Floyd up, he doesn't have the size or power to, and Floyd will make him pay if necessary...

Making Floyd come out of his comfort zone will be a bad thing for Marquez...

can't dispute any of the statements you've made C....the only thing i can add is; 'that's why they step inside the ropes...to see if logic holds up...in the sweet science, sometimes intangibles overcome logic'

the only thing JMM has over floyd is activity (floyd is very economical), tenacity (dude drank his own piss), combination punching (floyd potshots). everything else is in floyd's favor.

JMM's only shot at winning is to counterpunch and make it a tough fight to score. if he's lucky he'll get love from the judges because he's throwing combos while floyd is throwing potshots.

jmm needs pbf to attack so he can counter well. but pbf isnt as wild as pac when he charges so jmm wont be as effective as against pac. you have to pressure pbf well to win the round, and jmm isn't that kind of boxer. it's a UD for pbf, might KD jmm, but jmm's got a big heart like pac, he'll fight till the end.

I've been saying this ever since there were rumours of these 2 going at it. Nothing but respect for JMM but he has a punchers chance at best.
