JaMarcus Russell has all the tools to be a star.

The guy can flat out pass the **** out of the football. I feel like anyone who falls to Oakland is crushed by their awful coaching and decisions. I actually like Oakland as my AFC team (Vikings fan) and watch all their games but it frustrates me to see such talent go to waste. Now of course he has to work on a bunch of things but overall the guy can flat out play. Anyone else think Russell is going to break out when Oakland gets their **** together?

I think they cut Garcia Mak. So it's Russell all the way this year. Physical tools yes he can do it. Decision making and the work ethic are still up in the air. IMO I think he could make it, but not with the Raiders. They are too dysfunctional and it seems like his career their will not end well.

Yeah...the question is when is Oakland going to get their **** together? It's the same story every year, and it will be until Al Davis is gone.

Russell has the physical tools, but not the mental ones.
He lacks on field decision making, abilitly to make checkdowns, work ethic, reading the defense, and maturity.

I agree but he has a very small window...........perfect example....see Dante Culppeper....

Hes good but there is obviously something going on thats holding him back, their o line has to step it up. Their running game is coming together with bush, mcfadden and fargas, if the raiders can be top 5 in rushing with those 3 guys there is something wrong with them. Maybe Heyward-Bay is what Jamarcus needs to finally have a good season

i think jamaracus russell better show some more potential this year or else the oakland raiders are in big trouble..forget about jeff garcia he had his time in san francisco a few years back..its either russell makes the big plays this year with his arm or else the raiders are back to the top of the nfl draft next year
