vlad win over chagaev cemented his status as the HW to beat even if he were to be stripped of all his belts he would still be the kingpin in the division. the point of this thread is to take oan objective look at vlad. so strictly no uthuggers allowed.
last night we saw craftsman at work, inflicting the max punishment with the least risk. yet his professional almost clinical performance meets critique from some people saying he took too long, he should have KO'd him blah blah blah.
these are the same people who denied lennox the credit he deserved throughout his career until post-tyson.
yet there is a certain truth to what they say, vlad is now deffo the no.1 but imo he has a loss coming his way. there are simlarities between him and lennox, both had a methodical style and because of that they had to fight to win over the public, media and networks, but truth be told lennox is the slightly better fighter in every single department.
he was more adpatable, alot tougher, had a warrior in him, was smarter in the ring, a better array of punches and more astute defensively (he used his jab very well sometimes when on defense, vlad doesn't he just runs).
in conclusion vlad really is the best of a bad bunch.
