  • what's the best way to hang a heavybag in garage?

do you think a heavy-duty "ceiling hook" like this would be ok to use to hang a 100lbs. heavybag? it says it can hold up to 400lbs.?? when the bag is slightly swinging/moving, doesnt that create more weight/stress on the hook/ceiling?

when it swings, i know im hitting it incorrectly, im still practicing the snaps.

i can probably get one just like that for cheaper at home depot.

well, i used to have it hanged with weak ass ropes that would attach to this wooden thing on the ceiling, problem was, the rope kept breaking, no damage to the ceiling/bag.

i'm just curious on how well those heavyduty ceiling hooks will do.

if you should worry one bit about it then dont do it
unless you are 100% sure that your ceiling will hold it, then just don't

Iam trying to hang a 75lb bag onto my garage wall using a bracket i currently have a 60lb bag in there but that was cheap rubbish, i think my wall can handle the small increase in weight but just like to know if anyone else has hang up a heavy bag from a normal 1 brick deep wall.

Instead of using a rope, could you use a chain instead?
