  • This is the point where it becomes more challenging.
Getting beat by 2nd-3rd-tiers is more biting than getting beat by say a Matias, Lopez or even a Taylor.
Which is why a lot of fighters nowadays prefer to wait around for money fights and couldn't even take stay-busy fights.

  • Mayweather rooted for Garcia, but he never expected him to win.
He even tried to take Ryan away from the Haneys, who were furious.
Floyd didn't want to see them making truckloads of money
and the glory of beating a social media superstar.

  • Dela Hoya wanted Jose Ramirez for Garcia when the Mayweather distractions were occurring.
Garcia got mad as hell and went back to negotiating with Haney.
So the guy pretty much picks who he wants to fight. If he want Boots, so be it. Losing should be part of the sport.

    Regis Prograis says it's KARMA

Haven't really paid much attention to this "weight-bullying" topic.
I thought it's only fans that make an issue of it.
But here is Regis Prograis bringing it up here in this video:

Regis Prograis SAYS Devin Haney got KARMA BEATING for WEIGHT BULLYING; Gives Ryan Garcia...

  • Fights get made not because of whats fans want. Promoters, fighters, managers dgaf about what fans want. It's been that way since time immemorial.
Even trainers can stop fights from getting made. It's naivete to assume fans in a forum can influence what fights are made.

  • Not a surprise to me the rift is about money.
Spence also railed about paying too much on sanctioning fees in the TC press con.
