Roy Jones was so fast that the fact that he favored a hook was academic... He could take a man's jab out of play with a feint and his speed, despite the hook having an arc. Ryan has power in his hook and he throws it kind of weird, off angle, but its hard for me to think he gets the speed over Haney's...

I started posting about boxing years ago... Always been a martial arts guy wanting to learn from those who box and know the game... The longer I post, the more I realize fellow posters here are quite correct, that as they say in New York "I don't know nuthin!" err feel free to post you disagree!...

We can agree to disagree.
Amatuer fighters fight at one pace because of the amount of rounds, they do not fight in spurts generally speaking, as a characteristic of the method. They would lose rounds to the opponent just on the amount of shots thrown otherwise.
Professional...

China has never been my boogeyman, the communist party is my boogeyman.
Creating a coin is great. Just like creating different applications is great. History is littered with great ideas. Can it sustain is the question.

From a very general idea we are dealing with the ethics of "duty" here. Namely, is there a time when someone is less unethical, or justified, in cheating because of the actions of others. What is the obligation of one fighter, his party, to the other fighter/party?
Haney found...

The stiff croat! My dear compadre Dr z tells me this battle will show the supremacy of the Croatian conquestidore.
Nothing like two ammys going hammer and tongs... Vicious jab waiting... Another vicious jab clinch... Vicious jab half step back clinch... ( Five rounds later) A cross is...

Putting your money in gold is a little bit like having sex with no pregnancy. It's easy to put it in, money, your weenie, but pulling out is a b****! When do you take profits with gold? And who wants to pull out!?...Smash likes this.

Nothing.
You see tape and you see the potential this kid has watching his fights. You hear about his trainer, who is hardly impartial, talking about him and his talent.
But these days you can't really get the fights made like they used to be made.
I will go one...real raw likes this.

I believe the term used for many is gold bugs lol. And yeah this is exactly the type of article so many members pick up here and declare is some sort of indication lol.
I think part of the problem is how national debt is even understood. If you really look at the Longview how population...

You could have a technical boxer puncher in those divisions but they are very competitive. I mean most people in the world weigh around 130 to 160 meaning your dealing with a really rich talent pool to begin with.
He would have to be able to hit hard enough to make a puncher, or a pressure...

How climate change affected me. (Cheech and Chong summer vacation voice). I used to pass by the pond and see the small hummingbird frog. I became their friend. I would say hello to them.
Then one day it got really hot. The hummingbird frog Was gone. I hate those SUVs, all those gas guzzlers!...

A typical muckraking article to trigger the masses

When you read this article you will come to understand that what it implies, what it says, and the truth are three different things.

A typical headline that won't trigger those who don't understand things

Wow. I guess Grandpa Bernard is right huh? I mean China's dumping US treasuries right? Lol
No offense to Grandpa in this case. What I want people to look at is The intended effect,...

Lol these divisions are a nightmare. He has his work cut out for him, like you point out. If I was his team I would try to revamp at 147. Haney is a big kid, if he can settle down, weigh down on his shots more, learn to develop his already elite level jab... working in angles to set up shots off the...

Missing from your analysis is the people that shavers hit. They were a lot tougher opponents. And you are talking about two distinct skill sets. Probably the best finisher in boxing heavyweight history is Liston, shavers was not the best finisher. That's different than power potential....

Really bad matchup for Garcia. Here's the difference. On a technical level Haney reacts, so superior speed that is God-given, had him flumaxed.
Loma respondes, he anticipates, he sets up to avoid big punches. Ryan won't be able to hit him. Loma is also a lot tougher physically than people...Haka likes this.
