I think Tszyu is trying to find ways to stay motivated, and also to sell the fight. He's not trying to lose to someone whom he believes is not living the lifestyle of an elite athlete....

I'm not too bothered by this, and this shouldn't surprise anybody. I wish fans would stop behaving like boxers always run towards the toughest opponents possible. They typically run towards big legacy/$$$ fights or competitively advantageous fights. Claggett is just a stay-busy fight, nothing more.

If they bragged about Zayas being a potential superstar, that's a clue that they're going to protect him for as long as possible.
Also, Benitez was a three weight champion by 22: 140, 147 and 154. That's large shoes to fill for any fighter in this era. I think it's more fair to compare...Last edited by kiaba360; Yesterday, 02:19 PM.

[QUOTE=RJJ-94-02=GOAT;n32213493]
I think the fight makes sense for both: Prograis gets a bounce-back fight against a hot prospect to prove he's still world-level, while Dalton will look to show that the Zepeda victory was not a fluke. I wouldn't mind if Dalton tried to capture the...Roj likes this.

Two reasons: Zayas is only 21, and TR has zero control over 154. They don't want to send Zayas anywhere, and they're hoping his youth will allow him to outlast everyone.
As for Ortiz/Dulorme, that match-up is trash!...Last edited by kiaba360; Yesterday, 08:20 AM.

That crop of 140lbers really put a dent in one another: Taylor, Baranchyk, Prograis, Zepeda, Ramirez. It's pretty similar to Estrada/Cuadras/Gonzalez/Rungvisai. In boxing, the predator eventually becomes the prey. Prograis took his beating from Haney with dignity, and I can imagine that he wants to...Last edited by kiaba360; Yesterday, 08:00 AM.

Very entertaining main event, but Cullen stopping Heffron doesn't bold well for Heffron's chances.

This is a bit reminiscent of Bam Rodriguez facing Cuadras and Sor Rungvisai. I'm sure Dalton will get criticized for picking on older fighters, but he doesn't even have 20 fights yet. Guys like Zepeda and Prograis are levels above Smith's previous opposition, so it's fair game. Stylistically, I'd rather...Last edited by kiaba360; Yesterday, 07:31 AM.

I can understand putting Thurman in a headline debut slot because he was one of PBC's pillars....but his chronic inactivity and injury-proneness should've ruled him out immediately. It's clear Team Tszyu accepted that match-up because the intent is to increase his name-value in the USA. Why else would...

Eff Pandas said "with PBC's roster", which is why I mentioned in-house match-ups. We've also been discussing signing guys like Haney/Teofimo to potentially face Davis......not Davis (or his opponent) crossing the street or PBC co-promoting like Davis/Garcia was.
Tszyu/Fundora...

Jermell/Tszyu being bigger than Thurman/Tszyu isn't saying much, as both the Charlos and Thurman never really became true PPV attractions. We also don't know if Jermell is even available. If Jermell didn't care to face Tszyu when it was time to defend the throne...why would he do so now when he's lost...

Plant/Mall is marketable due to the slap, but I don't think it's a headliner. Mell/Tszyu for Undisputed could've been a headliner, but not now. Crawford's asking price went up after Spence, so is anyone actually willing to accept the risk? Davis may be the only PBC guy that can attract fighters to sign,...

In-house match-ups are finite. I actually think the Tszyu/Fundora card is good....

TC was winning on all three scorecards: https://boxrec.com/en/scoring/2722519
It was a close fight though. TC is fortunate that BoMac told him he was behind....Last edited by kiaba360; 03-27-2024, 08:50 PM.

The issues that Ennis had in regards to his contract (and obligations not being met) existed before the widow took over the business. I'm going to assume that Dunkin was the one who drafted the original contract, not the widow. He waited until Dunkin died in order to pull this maneuver. That part is...

No promotional stable can exclusively do in-house match-ups forever. I'm not sure if PBC can do much better than this....

The first sentence of the article implies that he's now a free agent.
It seems like Ennis waited to sue his promotional company after Dunkin died; why didn't he do this sooner if activity was so important to him? Many fighters weren't active during the pandemic because there was no crowds...Last edited by kiaba360; 03-27-2024, 07:51 PM.
