This would be a fairly easy flight for Boots. I watched some film on Crowley and he's a pretty smart fighter but he's slow and unathletic with average power at best.

The deficit in athleticism will be too great to overcome.

I wasn't surprised Garcia won, I was more surprised at how ill prepared Haney was at nullifying the left hook.

I think he didn't understand how much faster and quicker Ryan was than him in addition to the flaws he already had.

"Boxing fans" are the absolute worst! The kid accomplished a good amount, became undisputed and lost his first fight to his amateur rival and he should retire. And then we wonder why fighters try to protect their 0 so hard.

I'm literally repeating what Canelo said about fighting Crawford while you're assuming he's strictly money driven. I can only take him at his word and his actions. Money is of course a driver but do you think a Crawford fight nets Canelo enough versus any other top guy to risk losing to a guy that started...

But it is a lose-lose situation for Canelo and he's been very clear about that. He beats Crawford and he gets no credit because he's so much bigger, if he loses and he is overrated blah blah. Canelo has everything to lose in that fight, and Crawford has everything to win.

There's a couple of issues that Haney always had that are terrible against a good/ great left hooker.

First, he keeps his right hand out in front of his face and doesn't hold the phone with it, leaving the side open. He likes to parry the jab with the back hand but that is just suicide...

Crawford beat Errol and removed their grip on the WW division. Remember, Al didn't want Errol to take the fight. They even tried to push the Thurman fight at 154 and props to Spence for standing his ground to make the Crawford fight happen.

I agree Mell is just following Al's orders here making things difficult for Crawford but Crawford ruled out fighting Mell after the Canelo fight. Mell's stock dropped heavy after that performance so it lost any luster the fight may have had....
