I still think Wilder looked like Wilder against Parker. Albeit we know he's aged.

It's just that Parker didn't look like some lowly ranked fighter. I was very confident in Parker and couldn't understand how Wilder could be such a favourite.

I can't see how Zhang is any problem...

I kind of hope Wilder knows how protected he was and is laughing at people thinking he's serious about his ability while counting the money he got out of people in the sport.

If he's not, then that's it's all a bit sad. Except for the money.

I'm guessing Zhang didn't activate the rematch clause.

And given he's got a big fight (it is still a big fight) against Wilder then that might be why.

From Wilder's perspective I'd imagine this is a two fight deal if he wins. 2nd fight Joshua....

He's spent most of his career fighting who he had to fight.

He's now no longer a champion. He's ranked top 2 by everyone. He's got a promise from Riyadh. He really doesn't need to prove himself any further to earn a title fight.

Yet you think he should be having fights that...

Yes, consistency and turning up is absolutely key to being an ATG.

But I think it goes beyond lazy analysis. It's a pikeey trick that Fury has being playing. Fury has got half the boxing world acknowledging that if he wins he's great, and if he loses then he just didn't take it seriously....

I think that the little bit of hype behind Miller for the Dubois fight was all about the 'schit talking US guy' being too tough for the Brit. People have been buying into that for decades. In reality, there was zero in their respective skill sets or resumes that should have made people favour Miller....
