Boxing in the 80s IMO was one of the best eras for the sport. Saw the Witherspoon vs Tubbs fight
in Atlanta in '86... and although I wanted Tubbs to win... Tim did put on a strong performance. And
I agree that, as with so many fighters... don king greatly stifled Witherspoon's career.

True boxing fans know him, and are very impressed with his record. Sure...
U.S. $$ and fame would help... but not enough for him to go out of his way. 50k fans
will fill the stadium for his upcoming bout... so obviously he isn't hurting for money.
