  • I don’t think you can call Haney a hype job. I’m not a massive fan of the guy but he’s definitely proven himself. Even if you discount the Loma fight which I also think he lost, he completely outclassed Prograis which was a very impressive performance....

  • A win over a proven top level guy like Haney would turn Ryan into a superstar I think.

I do agree about his actions though, I think the kid has serious problems....

  • Would a Ryan Garcia win be good or bad for boxing?

I can see an argument for both.

  • Several writers on this very site named Frank the lead promoter. It’s hilarious that it still bothers you so much.

Nearly as hilarious as you suggesting Hearn was the lead promoter as he was listed before Warren on boxrec because you didn’t realise it was listed in alphabetical...

  • I think it was largely due to his large purse demands though. I’m sure if the Saudi’s offer him the type of money he wants he’ll fight more regularly. Look at AJ and Wilder for example....

  • They do make allowances though, I remember they did it for Cotto against Kamegai.

I’m sure they could probably be persuaded by the Saudi money....

  • Hopefully the Saudi’s keep him active, I’d like to see him try and clean out 154. Start with Tim for the vacant WBO, then unify with either Madrimov or Murtazaliev. Meanwhile Spence likely gets Fundora for the WBC. You could potentially have Crawford-Spence II for undisputed at 154. I don’t...

  • Steph vs Vargas would make sense, could set up the Figueroa rematch at 126.

If not maybe someone like Carlos Castro....
