  • His defense is his jab, feet and angles. Not that long ago people were saying he had the best jab in boxing, he certainly has a good jab. He has to develop his jab so he can use it as a stronger punch when he needs to do so....

  • LOl winning? Like one can win this war... People are just ******ed. The West is not going to let a strongman win his war. Putin is a piece of shiat who would rather see every Russian dead, if it meant he could save face. And the piece of shiat cries nuclear because he would destroy the world rather...

Unfortunately this issue has a lot of angles. It is true that Israel lobbies hard and controls a lot of discourse. It is also true that academic institutions toe a fine line between safety, protest and being committed to protecting all points of view. The trajedy here is that students,...

  • The easy way to get accurate stats is to ignore, suspend categories that are easy to manipulate. So... What is the relation b etween poverty and crime? No race needed. What we find is that people who have less means are less educated, make poorer decisions, have less options, comitt more crimes, and...

  • Heres where a little clarification goes a long way: Heavyweights have more weight. Weight has certain proportions related to the whole of the body... There is a point where a person cannot use additional weight for more power. That point is debated with some thinking it is just north of 200 (240ish)...

  • YOu guys are mixing up different characteristics that have nothing to do with punching. Bone density translates as specific density, mass, which we call, by application, weight. The weight of something creates the potential for more force, key word here: POTENTIAL. Muscle mass is the same.

  • Depends how you throw it to some degree. Ryan is a perfect example. His hook is not compact. It makes more of a circle... A hook can be looked at as two punches (bare with me lol) A straight shot, and another shot delivered at the end of the straight shot at a 45 degree angle. This is the textbook hook...

  • Roy Jones was so fast that the fact that he favored a hook was academic... He could take a man's jab out of play with a feint and his speed, despite the hook having an arc. Ryan has power in his hook and he throws it kind of weird, off angle, but its hard for me to think he gets the speed over Haney's...

  • I started posting about boxing years ago... Always been a martial arts guy wanting to learn from those who box and know the game... The longer I post, the more I realize fellow posters here are quite correct, that as they say in New York "I don't know nuthin!" err feel free to post you disagree!...

  • We can agree to disagree.

Amatuer fighters fight at one pace because of the amount of rounds, they do not fight in spurts generally speaking, as a characteristic of the method. They would lose rounds to the opponent just on the amount of shots thrown otherwise.

    Professional...

  • From a very general idea we are dealing with the ethics of "duty" here. Namely, is there a time when someone is less unethical, or justified, in cheating because of the actions of others. What is the obligation of one fighter, his party, to the other fighter/party?

    Haney found...

  • Haney has gotten physically bigger. He's gotten stronger. He is at a time physiologically where your man strength comes in. So I do think he got stronger since 135. I also think cutting down that weight had an effect on his strength as well....

    Nothing.

You see tape and you see the potential this kid has watching his fights. You hear about his trainer, who is hardly impartial, talking about him and his talent.

But these days you can't really get the fights made like they used to be made.

    I will go one...
