i pulled the right side of my back a few months back , i kept working it and it stayed sore , didnt seem to get any sorer, it didnt go away so i went to the doctors they said 2 weeks rest , gave it tht and it felt good , as soon as i got to trainin i was stretching and i felt a ping , it just pulled again , it was really sore , i struggld to get up my stairs! i got physio on it and it realy helped , my back felt great , it never bothered me for a week and then the other side paralel to the side i pulled started to get sore , at training 2nyt it was quite sore , i could still do bags and body sparring but when i was skipping it was sore , im getting physio nxt tuesday and im supposed to be fighting on the friday , what do you think i should do , i dont want to miss this fight.
    thanks

I had a similar pull in my lower left back which went away but resurfaced after i resumed training, back muscle pulls can take up to 6 weeks to fully repair, just because the pain went away does not mean that your muscles have healed. Alternating heat and cold applications will help to stimulate blood flow and tissue repair. Please be careful, the early stages of spinal damage (Herniated or slipped disc's, or nerve pinching) are often mistook for simple muscle pulls/tears, it would be wise to speak with a doctor if your pain persists.

yeah , i aint completly sure if its a pull , it might just be tight , i dont think it can be anything to serios cos the side i originally done somthing to aint bothered me since physio.

The best advice is to listen to your body, if you feel like you will be at a significant disadvantage due to this injury then it would be wise to postpone or reschedule this match, if it is a minor inconvenience and you feel you can perform up to your normal standards then I would just recommend treating it as best you can with heat/cold treatments, stretching, and light activity involving the affected area and giving your match a go.
