  • Gloves for bag work and sparring

A few weeks ago I joined a boxing gym. Im starting to get pretty serious and was thinking about buying some gloves for gym use (bags, sparring). What pair do you guys swear by? Up till now Ive just been using a pair that the gym has... boxeo or Boes 10 0z. I am 16..HEIGHT 5'10" weight 125 lb i am concerned because I have relatively small hands.. are 10 oz gloves more suited to smaller hands than say 12, 14 oz??.. will the gloves fit my hand properly.. do i need a certain type or brand??? Any help would be nice. thanks guys. love the site.

for bag work, you might want ringside's 12 ounce super bag gloves.

for sparring, either 14 or 16 ounce training gloves.

try to avoid the cheap stuff, anything above $40 or $50 will do good. (excluding the ringside super bag gloves, those are good, and i think the blue color is on sale for $30)

especially avoid the $30 everlast "high performance" training glove, no good.
