  • need advice

    im interested in getting into boxing but can't until i move city in 2 months time. any advice on training and nutrition would be greatly appreciated.
    im 20years old
    5'10
    and weigh 185lb but want to get down to 165lb.

    How much experience do you have? You could start your running now. Boxing, on the contrary to common belief is a anaerobic activity, or at least 75% to 25% aerobic. That being said warm up with a good mile run, (aerobic) then do a routine like 4X 300 meters at a good sprint to build anaerobic endurance. Do this at least 3 times a week. Spend about 20-30 min a day just streatching. (anything you can) but focus on your legs.
    pushups, bodyweight squats, and lunges for a few 3 min rounds wouldn't be a bad idea either. You got two months use them to build your conditioning. When you get to the gym yuour coach will instruct you on your skills training. Train hard in the gym. Intensity is the key, using this practice will improve your conditioning. Remember training must imitate what happens in the ring.
