check out the asics kayano. i have two pairs of the nike airmax 360, they have great support but their $160 a pair so they're also expensive.
Damn, I don't wannt spend more than $80. But if it helps me run roadwork without a problem, it'll be well worth it. I'm going to a running sotre in the next few days to look around and buy something good.
Back to the thread, Evander Holyfield doesn't do roadwork.
doesnt suprise me, holyfield is no small man and having done a couple cycles of roids in his day, roadwork can take quite the toll on a larger guy, (joints, knees, etc.)especially one who's used steroids in excess. Not saying Holy used em in excess but we all know he has used them.
He's a great fighter but he's too "new schoolish". If you look at his routine for the first Tyson fight, he barely does anything old school like pushups. And instead of roadwork, he does "3 minute drills".
Still a great fighter though and I respect him for what he's accomplished.
Juan doesn't just swim for his conditioning. He also does a lot of treadmill and stairclimber. He wouldn't have the conditioning he does if all he did was swim.
No, he doesn't do a lot of machines. He does most of not all of his conditioning by swimming.
From what I have seen. He does a lot of treadmill and stairclimber. I have seen him go from sparring straight to the stiarclimber and stay on there anywhere from 30-45 mins. My brother would spar Jose Diaz, Juan's little brother, on a regular basis. They both have told us they do most of their conditioning on the treadmill and the stairclimber.
Just a question: How do you know his conditioning comes all from swimming?
He said so in an interview once. He said unlike other fighters, he does hours of swimming and maybe some light jogging for half an hour on a treadmill few times a week.

Ok.
I am just going by what I have actually seen and what him and his brother have said.
Either way he has some of the best conditioning in the sport. He goes non stop from start to finish.
Juan Diaz has good conditioning but it wouldn't nearly be as good if he actually put some effort and pop into his punches. All he does is outwork his opponent, he never actually tries to knock them out or stop them on cuts.

I'm not here to argue man. I could be wrong, since most of the time they don't say the truth on tv. Either way, his conditioning is sick.

He'd be 10x better if he tried to KO his opponent.
