  • Shoulder sort of pops when throwing hooks

When I shadowbox or particularly when I throw a left or right hook I feel a pop from my shoulder, from the front part, it doesn't hurt but is extremely annoying. Has anyone had experience with this before or even heard of it? I feel no pain but I hear it which is extremely distracting.it also happens when I shrug up and let my shoulders drop down

Spend atleast ten mins stretching before and after your workout. The elite amatuers i know spend 30 mins stretching before and after to avoid injuries. Also stretch your neck slowly and what also helps is swimming, and taking certain vitamins for your bones like fish oil zinv etc

I don't think its a muscle issue, its more bone. but I will try stretches, which stretches do you recommend?

You need to rest it for 2 weeks.

Have you considered having it amputated? Presto, problem solved.

Or maybe you could toughen up and just deal with it.

It sounds as if you are throwing 'arm' punches. Learn the proper way to punch and then let us know how it feels..…..Rockin'

I think you really need to rest.

I’ve experienced shoulder popping too, especially when doing moves like hooks or shrugging. It’s annoying but doesn’t usually come with pain. In my case, it turned out to be related to something like a frozen shoulder. I found tips for treatment on https://www.gulfphysio.com/frozen-sh...ltimate-guide/. Take care!
