  • Sore Back

I’ve hurt my back its quite sore , I’ve had it for a few weeks now and it don’t seem to be improving much its sore on my lower left side and it feels like its the bone , but it will be a muscle huh , its sore when i shadow box or do bags when i throw a left uppercut or hook, I’ve not done bags for a few weeks and not much shadow boxing , just been doing road work but its still sore.
    Advice please
    Thanks

If you are not stretching your hamstrings properly before you work out or run your back muscles will be forced to do more work and will therefore stress the muscles abit. Just start stretching the legs good before any workouts and in about 3 or 4 days you will find that your back will be feeling better. I dealt with the same problem back in the day.

I had the same problem. Do what you like, I was told by a doctor to do this and it helped.

If that doesn't help it might be something a little more severe. I've had what you describe, and because I didn't take care of it, in the end, I couldn't walk up or down a curb for the pain. Mine was the spine pinching a nerve, and a chiropractor got rid of it for me. I've known 3 other fighters who had the same problem. 2 of them went to a chiropractor and got it fixed, one they couldn't fix, he's still got back pains and doesn't fight anymore...

Common in hard punchers. Do some easy back stretches. It may or may not loosen up. Could also be a slipped disc, especially if you feel pain running down the leg or tingling in the toes.
