Emanuel never threw a kid who knew NOTHING in the fire!
Thats what my post was referencing kids who know nothing and go in to spar!

Rockin I was at Kronk long before you were, my gyms team fought against Kronk kids in tourneys all over the country.
I go back just before Hilmer turned pro against Kronk.

Hilmer Kenty is a great guy. I'm just repeating what I was told by kronk members that I fought with and what I experienced myself down there......Rockin'

Every meaningful gym had tough sessions but they were with experienced kids not green ones.
Kronk had great sessions with Hearn's and Starling, Starling got a broken jaw but he gave Hearn's fits and prepped Tommy at the highest level.

I had Saad in my gym prepping for the first Conteh fight and the entire gym stopped their work to watch & LEARN when I gave Saad heavy work that enabled him to whip Conteh.

I believe in what I call "open sessions" meaning get with it when sparring for a coming fight.
Open session to get in shape is a ****** way to get hurt!

            Ray, nite all.

I have a great respect for how Emanuel (RIP) would break down a fight. His thought process for pre fight analysis, post fight analysis, was very unique - but what I liked most was his ability to spot things in the middle of a fight happening.

The best is how wild he got during Toney Jirov.
