I'm fighting on the 24th March (next Friday) but I don't get to spar with people my size very often and today might be the last and only chance I get, my head feels awful but I'm a solid slick southpaw boxer who spars with much bigger guys regularly; should I risk it or rest?

Rest. This can take you a week before you fully recover from a cold and doing hard workouts will only make it stronger and longer, so you might be still sick when you want to fight.

Why would you go to a gym with a transmittable illness?
What does your trainer say?

To TS, a full night or a full days rest/sleep can be more beneficial to your body than sparring ESPECIALLY if you are sick.
Also a word of advice, if available to you, next season get a flu shot. I never believed in them until about 3 years ago and for the past 3 years I havent gotten sick with the flu.

Ugh I just hate being unable to train, being sedentary drains the life out of me
Overtraining is the enemy of every athlete!
