  • Imitating combinations of your favorite fighters?

This is really an open ended thread but I thought it'd be fun to discuss.

Today in sparring I worked on my inside game. I wanted to try some signituare combinations of some of my favorite heavyweights. I did the Joe Frazier, or Micky Ward double left hook (body + head) and the Tyson right uppercut to the body, and right uppercut to the head.. Deadly combinations when they are landed flush.

I've also tried Mayweather's combo when he throws a right hook to the body, followed by a straight right upstairs. Beautiful combo imo, but a lot harder to land. Best example I can think of is when he landed this combo against Gatti.

So, and feel free to add gifs, and name some of your favorite combos that your favorite fighter uses.

    roy jones moves.
    works against noobs.
i eat punches against experienced ppl haha.
(this is when i first started boxing)
now, i just throw whatever feels right.. dont really try to imitate anyone specifically.
but i do try things out like right hook right upper left hook just to see how it works etc.

good shout. I try trippling up on left hooks, but you need an insane amount of skill and athleticism to do that the way Roy use to.

Very true. I've seen a lot of fighters do this recently tbh:

Danny Garcia had his own variation of it

        Cotto against Rodriguez
