Are there are any sparring gloves that are made of softer material?

    They're definitely really soft, especially the 18oz ones, but like I said they can depress to the knuckles with a big shot. Hard punches are hard punches even with 18oz pillows on. One time I went to another gym without sparring gloves and they had me use these 20oz pillows and I had one of their top guys there (was only an amateur boxer with about 10 fights lol) really discouraged that he was really feeling my punches when I was wearing 20s. I've spoken with other more experienced guys and they do agree gloves size matters but a hard punch is a hard punch.
