  • I need help badly am desparate!

I need help! I really want to atleast try while im young to get into fighting whether it be Boxing or MMA I love them both. Ive been too MMA gyms on an off in the past last time I went was June 2012. I lost 35 pounds went from 220 to 185 but then I hurt in my ribs from some gym warrior hitting me with a spinning back kick to the ribs. Every MMA gym tells me I have good hands because im a big boxing fan so I didnt know if its too late to try boxing.

So I took time off then I met my current girlfriend who ive been with since. Shes a big girl and I developed her eating habits and since then im up to 250lbs.i moved 2 hours away to live with her and her family to save money in mt. Pocono PA and am between jobs. I feel like some of my bad eating and insominia is a result of moving from all my friends and family plus I was a big pothead and havent smoked in a month. Im only 20 turn 21 next month but I really want to get back into shape find a gym and have at it.

Any tips or advice for nutrition, weight losing or any advice even the littlest would be great appreciated.

You need to clean out before you start training again, get your nutrition right. If I was you invest in a good juicer and juice the **** out of loads of organic fruit and vegetables, if your in between jobs you will have time, it's affording the produce if your not working which will be the hard thing.
Juice carrots, apples, beetroot, ginger, celery, kale, anything you can get your hands on, 3 juices per day for two weeks. They are very filling and packed with all the raw nutrients your body needs so it won't be screaming out for food. Have one instead of breakfast and one in Place of an evening snack. Get your food right, chicken breast and salad that sort of thing and after a fortnight you'll be golden, ready for training & about 10lbs lighter.

First, get your **** together dude. No excuses on ballooning in weight. That is just straight up laziness. From 185 to 250? Get out and start walking that gut off, when you drop enough weight that you won't kill your joints, start jogging that weight off. Also, people get hurt sparring in MMA, start wearing adequate protection and only spar with people you're comfortable with, don't spar "gym warriors" only spar with "Gym brothers" people who look out for you and want you to be safe but tested.

Nutrition at your weight will be pretty easy, get a bunch of chicken breast and fish (those will be your meat sources) whole grains for breads, and a ****ton of fruits and vegatables. Limit Soda (or eliminate) and don't worry too much about calorie counting right now. Just because you're hungry doesn't mean you can't eat healthy. Throw all snacky unhealthy foods out. Make your girlfriend do this too, if you're going to drop weight and be a total stud, you should have a fit girlfriend as well.

Activity is the name of the game. Start by getting back to being active. Join a gym make friends and have fun doing so. Check out the posts on thread: Need training advice at local gym when not boxing. Here's some of the advise I gave the poster. I recommend two things. 1) Take a measuring tape and measure your waistline or 2) Take a picture of yourself without a shirt. Tape these two things on your refrigerator. The next step is to make a workout schedule separating your boxing training/cardio, and strength training. Then make weekly goals. A reasonable weight loss goal would be losssing 1 to 2 1/2 pounds or 1 kg a week of body fat. I highly recommend you research you body mass versus muscles mass stats otherwise you may be fooling yourself. Now when it comes to diet, I don't like telling people what to eat because we all have different preferences but regardless you must get used to meal timing. The rest is just proportions of proteins, carbs (complex) and fats (good & bad fats) rather than calorie counting. Save the calorie counting for when you reach a plateau or trying to fine tune your physique. The one thing I do highly recommend everyone looking to loose weight is avoids eating foods high in sugar, high sodium, deep fried foods, pastries, starches and regular milk. A good substitute for regular milk is skim milk and almond milk. Avoid soy milk. Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits. Post your weekly progress. I'd be happy to hear you reached your goal.

If you were actually desperate you would be sweating in a gym, not posting tears about some situation.

First of all, congratulations on deciding to change your life, that's the first step.

Now, the diet you do is going to be 70% of your results, the rest will come from training. If you want to get lean again and you have financial problems, I would suggest doing something a big more extreme, like bodyopus or evolutionary diet - that's a type of CKD. It's not expensive to do, as you're low-carbing and fairly easy to maintain. The first 2 weeks are hellish, but after the metabolic shift, you'll get some great fat loss. I've seen guys on bodyopus or evo get about 1.5-2lbs. of bodyfat loss/week and gain 0.25lbs of muscle, so it's an effective way to go.

Good luck to you and I hope you get great results with everything you decide.
