  • can't find any proper gyms

im in the uk, all i can find is boxercise classes in retail chains or old boxing gyms that shut down years ago

everything is aimed at "white collar" boxercise or similar weight loss themed classes

what should i do? just train at home? i really want to do some amateur bouts or at least sparring.

    (btw i'm in west midlands)

Where in the West Midlands do you live?
How far are you prepared to travel?

I live near Birmingham and travel wise ideally 10 miles but could do more. I want somewhere to train daily really

I hate the boxercise classes that seems to become more and more popular. I don't know how many times i heard ******ed idiots say the are training boxing when they are doing boxercise a few times a month. It's even more irritating then people assuming you mean mma or thaiboxing when you clearly say BOXING. The sport is becoming so marginalised it's sad.

Sorry for hi******* your thread. Hope you find a good gym. Traning on your own is not an adequate alternative.

Can't find a proper boxing gym in the West Midlands, is this a joke? Unless you are in the countryside of Rugby there should be plenty to chose from.

If you're around Coventry/Birmingham then there should not be a problem.
