Listen to your body. If it hurts to hold your hands up than put them down and call time out. WTF is going on here, if you are too sore to work out than don't because you'll perform sluggish any how...lmfao. Where do you guys come up with this stuff? .........Rockin'

Its basic science. Why would you go to the gym when your system is depleted? Keeping your hands up during a training session or a fight is not the same thing as going back into the ring the next day when you're totally spent and trying to do it.

In the past year ive been training harder upping my conditioning and i can do things i couldnt do before. Im trying to learn the mpst i can i am still young. Recently i thought about this because i said to my self what are other boxers out there doing especially professionals. I also wondered about my bodys limitations in comparison to others.
Your bodies limitations are controlled mainly by your body messages that are sent to your brain. It's when you learn to send messages back that you are starting to see your true potential.

You know what I did when I got out of bed and found that I could barely walk because of running the hill that early morning? I gathered my stuff, headed down to Galaxy and threw fists with Bronco McCart and Tarrick Salmaci for 3 rounds each, back to back. I did fine in the sparring. I then proceeded through my trainers rigorous floor work and I did not die in the defiance of soreness. I always took ample time to stretch before doing anything, you have to every time.

If you feel too sore to go to the gym then you are going to find that you are too tired and sore to throw a punch in an amatuer bout. Get to the gym and work through it, because you can be certain that there is a boy/man that you will come face to face with while hearing the refs instructions in the future that is at the gym sore getting his work in. ...Rockin'

your system is not depleted, it still works even though it may be tight and sore. Proper vitamin/minerals and diet helps. Your body will do amazing things if you allow your mind to let your body do them.........Rockin'

Do you know why your muscles get sore from working out?

Sure I believe in rest. One day a week you take off from training and just go for a comfortable walk. The rest of the 6 days you are in a gym (I am speaking of professionals) Say that you train 60-90 days and no fights pop up take acouple of days, 3 days at the most and then your right back in the gym. Your muscles begin to disipate after 2 days of inactivity...........Rockin'

I know that, but it still needs rest to recover. You can't train 7 days a week at brutal intensity.

Muscles get sore because when you are participating in any kind of moderate to vigorous physical activity, you create tiny tears in the muscle. This is where the soreness comes from, as your body begins to heal the tears, it strengthens the muscle to adapt better to whatever activity caused the tears.

If instead, you do not allow your body to heal the tears, and you proceed with the same vigorous activity before your muscles are healed, you tear them more, and never give them the chance to heal and become stronger. You can actually make the muscles weaker by doing this.

                    This is called overtraining.

People heal at different recovery speeds, mostly to do with age and genetics... This is why listening to your body, is in fact, very important.

because you are breaking the muscles down. break down, rebuild, repeat. There is no way that you would need 1 full week of rest for your muscles to rebuild.......Rockin'
