The guys that are really good don't see em coming they feel them coming..It's just a skill/talent at sensing your opponents motives..Its also about knowing what kind of target you are presenting to your opponent thus when you catch any movement at all you know what they are aiming for..A bit like fishing you present a bait and respond in the right way..That's what the Klitchco's do by dropping that gangle left arm of there's..They present a singular target thus they can automatically respond to any movement cause they know its in response to the opening they advertised.. I would make them pay by nailing the Lanky jerks in the Body or the shoulder with a straight shot but everyone's a headhunter these days..to a fault..

When I first began training I felt the same thing.
Just keep practising and your midn begins to puck up subtle movements in opponents so you know the punches are coming before they are even thrown.
Sparring. Sparring. Sparring. Is what I would suggest.

they anticipate, thats all. you need a talent for that and a lot of training obviously. they dont see the shots coming, theyre just guessing. they dont get hit often because they anticipate so many punches that you cant really land anything. you will see them bob & weave when the opponent doesnt even punch, because theyre just guessing. sometimes it works, other times it dont. when it does work and they dodge a 3 punch combo it looks like magic but its not. still, its a great skill to have. probably one of the most important things in boxing

Thats it right there. You have you feint them. Drop you guard intentionally , create what they think is an opening for them, and then dodge or counter.

As someone said anticipation, you can also tell when someone is about to throw a punch if you follow their shoulders or how they position their body depending on how predictable they are. That's why fighters like Roy Jones jr were difficult in their prime because they could throw punches from position you wouldn't expect.

It's also why they tell you to throw feints to offset your opponent antipating your every move.
