Any of you fellow boxers cycle on here?

I've been cycling for about 52 days and have found my legs alot stronger and I'm able to move better, get more power into my punches. It has helped me alot and I know it doesn't work for everyone but it is for me and I'm actually enjoying it.

Any tips or if anyone wants to share times cycled, etc then get in here.

I just got done doing 50km in 80 mins, I've been told thats a decent start for a beginner. I have a bicycle and an exercise bike so I get outdoors whenever I can but always make sure even if I've been out that I do at least 30 mins of sprints and stops on my exercise bike.

I dont have a bike but its something Id really like to get into, unfortunately I live in the city so I wouldnt be able to kane it and make a workout of it.

Every so often I go biking at this nature reserve with my mate, we usually go as fast as we can and bike for a good 2 or 3 hours, its something I really enjoy since I love the feeling of being on two wheels and I like being outdoors in nature.

Must suck for your city guys, I'm in LA so we got the mountains and trail after trail for bikes where we can really test our legs.

I heard about a bike ride from LA to San Francisco in September, but I don't think I'm ready for that yet.

I used to cycle a lot on a stationary bike and pretty often on a real one too but it doesn't give a lot of results if you need the strength to support your own bodyweight but it sure gets your pulse up easily for fat burning.

I do a 6 mile lap with hills in 15-20 mins and i have a 3 mile ride with hills to the lake where i do my lap and 3 miles back with even more hills. usually ill just ride down, do a few laps, then head back. some times ill bring down my running shoes and a lock in my back pack and jog a few miles between laps. also I always stand up in high gears for the hills like on the way back theres a 1/2 mile stretch thats at about a 25% incline the entire way thats real fun.

50km in 80 mins is a solid start, that's about where I was at when I started riding....I got faster when I improved my technique, but I fixed my posture and didn't get tired as fast

I don't cycle but I skate into my town a lot. Believe it or not, it really works your calves and works stamina too.

Thanks bro, I'm trying to get faster though. First time I did 50km, I threw up right after, my gf got a good laugh from it.

The thing is though, when you're on a bicycle outdoors sometimes you don't always push yourself..

Like I've found myself sometimes cheating when things get hard I stop cycling but obviously the bike keeps moving but when I'm on an indoor bike I don't have that choice so I find myself doing more actual cycling and getting more of a workout on my indoor bike.

My indoor bike has a gear adjustor so I can program it to give me the experience of a steep climb, etc.

I just find outdoor biking better since I get to tear up the mountains and sick trails in LA.

To the guy who skateboards, my girl used to skateboard.. she has some seriously sick and sexy calves. So it does help out.
