  • Is 3 miles good enough?

Hey everyone I wanna get back into amateur boxing and I'm kinda Heavy right now. I wanna lost 30 pounds (180 right now). I'm a bit heavy because I really slack off but recently I've been running 3 miles a day sometimes up to 5 or 6 if its 2 runs (I run morning and before I sleep) but usually its 3. If I keep a steady diet and run that plus Box and and do pushups/situps..you think its possible to lose that much weight in 2 days? I don't do weights btw.

he prolly meant 20 days...yeah just run 3 miles put on a heat pad for your stomach and a hoodie...I recomend you to power walk for 2 minutes and then jog for 5 minutes, then power walk for 2 minutes again, and jog if you're a beginner...that's how I started and I lost 54 pounds since february of last year

3 miles is plenty I would say if you run it fast enough .Probably better doing 3 fast than 5 slow .What's your time ?I can run 3 miles in under 21.30 .This is a good book .Full throttle conditioning .I done about 20 plus pounds and took about 5 inches off my waist with this book .The way I do it is train hard with intensity at night then no food and plenty of water then bed.Cut off eating about 5 or 6 pm then find a conditioning circuit .If it's fat just keep checking your waist in the morning incase you get mixed up with water weight .I can do a half inch a day off my waist .Then just keep on top with indoor circuits daily or outdoor .Sweat man you burn more calories and that equals fat loss .Just replace the water .You still burn more calories that way. You don't even need to run to burn fat

encouraging people to wear hoodies and heat pads doesnt make you burn more calories.. the only weight you will lose through extra sweat is water.. bad weight loss

Yup, and the heating pad on the stomach he suggested doesn't work either because you can't spot reduce fat.

Wearing extra clothes in hot weather can actually reduce your calories burned because you will get tired quicker and won't be able to run as fast or train as hard.

running/burning calories is only half of the equation when it comes to losing weight. 3 miles sounds good but you need to reduce your daily intake of food i.e. calories if you want to start burning off those fat rolls
