hey i start training at 6.30pm and don't get home til 8, is it ok to go in and have dinner or would a protein shake and some fruit be alright? i only train mon, tue and thursday so i'd be having proper dinners on the days i wasnt training? thanks

as far as eating a good meal, you shouldnt eat atleast 2ish hours before you got to bed at least not a full meal like your talking about because the extra calories will get stored up as fat during sleep. usually if one takes a protein mix right after workout, that person will eat a real meal about an hour after that. so if you know that you arent going to bed until at least 11 then go for it with another meal.
