You do 20 100m sprints? How long of a rest do you take in between?

You will face fighters who are technically more skilled than you.

You will face fighters who hit harder than you.

You will face fighters who are smarter than you.

You will face fighters who have more experienced coaches and better cornermen.

Eventually, you will meet a fighter who is all of the above. And when this happens, you had better be able to outwork the motherf---er.

Running is everything. Windsprints, long runs, stairs, hills. Stairmaster or elliptical if you're old like me. (Every few months I switch to the elliptical trainer.)

If you get outworked in a match, you have no one to blame but yourself. That's your own laziness that just cost you the fight.

**** man I never do any roadwork. I do lots of skipping, though. I can't jog in the area around my gym, the air is polluted with lots tuk-tuks and old motorbikes and old diesel cars on the streets. I ****ing hate it. I don't have a treadmill at home or at the gym (it's very old school with no modern machines) so I almost never jog. My cardio mainly consists of indoor soccer (futsal), skipping, lots of padwork and shadow boxing. That's it.

There's a local amateur tourney coming up in a couple of months time, too.

Not as important if you an amateur, you should do some kind of cardio work out and sprints.
