seriously people need to do more research. it is extremely difficult to actually over train. if you are sleeping enough and eating right and training on the elite level hours on end and your body isnt performing then yes you are over training. but if you arent getting enough sleep or on a healthy diet then no you just arent sleeping or eating right. running is about 30 min to a hour hours 5-7x a week. some people devote up to 3+ hours in the gym. ask your trainer how much time to put it.

im an ametuer boxer myself,
i train at the gym for about 2 hours, 5 days a week.
on the weekends i run.
