I've been wondering about these guys for a while. Looks like quality stuff for reasonable prices. It would be nice if someone could do a review.

I like that "WInnings is better" comment. haha

But really, I dont mind supporting an American company. As long as they have real good quality like Winnings.

Here you go. I posted this at another boxing site with some slight edits.

I got the Shevlin's with the Velcro strap and tan tops - brown palms. You can customize them any way you want and their customer service is great.

I am barely 130 lbs. Since having smaller hands, I asked the good people at Shevlin to make me some gloves that are 16 ounces but are 14 oz profile and they extra stuffed them to make the 16 ounces and fit nice and snug on my hands.

These gloves are different. They come very easy to make a fist and even open your palms when parrying. No need to break these in. The surface on the knuckles naturally make a pop when you hit. It is not curved like a Mexican style glove that you see in the red gloves in the pic (Casanova's 14 ounces). They are also soft - super soft. Did I mention they are soft? They are extremely well on your hands. The compartment is made with cotton canvas so it doesn't feel like all the other gloves out there that boats dry liner this and that that just make your hands smell like **** and it is a nice snug fit, unlike the Casanova's which I can't even feel my knuckles touching the end of the glove compartment, ***edit, after a couple of weeks breaking in, the Casanovas are really nice now*** if that makes any sense. The only thing that could make these gloves perfect is if the wrist support was a little better and they last my whole boxing life and obviously I don't know if they will so I would have to go with the former. I got these gloves with the strap and laces, so I don't know if it was the extra stuffing that they makes the gloves fat around my wrists...there is some room there. I think it would be better if they were nice and tight in that are like my Casanova's which feel like i have a cast on my wrist when i use them. I have never had any wrists problems so it hasn't affected me so far.

this may be a ****** question but i was just wondering the leather strap on the cuff - what exactly is that for ? is it a velcro strap on top of the laces? so youd lace your gloves tight but enough to allow you to slide your hand in and then strap up the leather strap ?

also i heard there standard grip hose is kind of huge , did you ask for a smaller size grip hose or did you just leave the standard one ? if you just left the standard one how was it ?
