If you want combinations for fast hands, you should be throwing four, five and six punch combos instead of just two three and four.

Jab to the head, straight right to the head, left hook to the body, left uppercut to the head, straight right to the head (1-2-3B-5-2 for people who use a number based system which makes things a lot easier)

Jab to the head, right uppercut to the head, left hook to the head, right straight to the head, left hook to the body (1-6-3-2-3B)

That's really the key there. If you don't do that the whole combo goes to ****.

besides the obvious ones like jab, cross, hook/uppercut...my personal favorite is a jab, cross, left uppercut, cross. its hard to explain but when i throw the uppercut i sorta come up with it, then sit down on the final cross and throw it down like a sledgehammer. not that im that nice with it, lol.

Unless your balance and form are absolutely flawless, and you are mad quick, this is a difficult combo to make effective in my opinion
I swing or pivot my hips and lean to the right before I throw the uppercut, it is quick but does not have a lot of power. I am pretty fast I guess and like to switch my stance from an orthodox one to a southpaw in between some combos for the speed effect and usually finish a combo with a right hand jab and a lean away to the left. It seems crazy but it helps me to get out of the way by switching my stance like that. I can do it as I punch so it takes like half a second to do.

What is effective is what works against the man standing infront of you. No two guys are exactly the same. Just make sure that when your packing your gym bag you be sure to throw your balls in with everything. Because thats the only way your going to find out what works, that being to have the balls to try it................Rockin'
Agreed. A very well rounded fighter should be able to adapt and find his way, but still everybody has a favorite combo you try to set the other guy with.

if it works for you, more power to you brother. I tried that combo on the bag today and I jus wasnt feelin it I dono, but if it works, it works.

anyway, about the thread, I absolutely LOVE double jab, straight right, left hook to the body, left hook to the head, fainted straight right, left uppercut. after the jab, if two of those punches land flush, its LIGHTS OUT!

100% effective combinations used in a fight cant always be rehursed/practiced.
if your a true fast handed fighter you will hit your oppenents openings in combinations and acording to your strengths.
however, you can still practice combos and hope they will be effective/open in fight situation.
when you know who your fighting, and how they fight, practicing combos will become a lot more effective

one of my trainers who won an NABO title said all u need is 5 combinations to master and you'll be a good boxer lol
