it does'nt help with explosiveness if your jogging, infact jogging will make you slower as it develops your slow twitch muscles leaving behind your fast twitch muscles, you could always go full burst everynow and then but is'nt it somethin you can just do anywhere if you want explosive legs to move out of the way?, you dont need to run, just polymetrics and do short fast movements to wichever point you desire
so what is the point in jogging?,
it's just weight control i imagine
jogging(even though that **** will develop slow twitch mucles)
it will help you get the weight you desire in boxing? does'nt something more explosive help you lose weight easier plus make you stronger(not to mention more explosive)?
what im sayin is, jogging to me seems pointless to the point of its only use is that after some good aerobics the body can put on muscle easier
other than that jogging is pointless and i dont see why people run 10 or so miles, 6 should be the max(and it should be a good paced jog not slow)
or am i missing somethin here?
but ofcourse i say this for boxers, if we are trying to be boxers, why are we running instead of boxing?

Jogging is a "fun activity" for non competitive people.
If your a fighter you do "road work" to strengthen your legs so that when your jaw or chin get rapped your legs help keep you UP!
If you don't know that then don't be concerned because your not boxing anyone anyway.

best things someone can do is incorporate 2-4 Tempo runs a week in his routine, while having 3-4 intensity workouts (exp sprints with some variations and active rest in between sprints, also you could incorporate some plyo work in the workout...)

My breathing didn't feel as strong, and I didn't feel as light/mobile heading into the later rounds of sparring. When I started running again I could feel it in my legs that first week.
I wouldn't say its jogging as I feel thats prob slower than 8 min miles, and when you run you should be averaging 6-8 min miles for a min of 3 miles.

It's good for heart health.
It definitely seems like if you have limited time there are better exercises to do for boxing, but heart health is just good for living a long, healthy life.
