  • I want to add more muscle!

I'm planning on adding a lot more muscle, I lost kind of a lot of weight and I'm pretty weak from it. I want to get a lot stronger, I already know the exercises I'm going to be doing so that is set I just need to know how much I should eat.
I'm planning on buying muscle milk for protein since I'm not much of a big eater anymore. I'm 17 years old, 5'11 and I weigh around the 162 pound area, I think my testosterone is pretty high as well which will help in adding muscle. I don't really want to add that much fat to my body. How much protein should I be taking in? I heard too much protein turns into fat... Also should I be taking in a lot of carbs? I'm going to be pushing myself hard during the workouts.

    Save your money...**** them shakes.

You want to gain muscle master pull-ups and squats.

If you master pull-ups and your physique is less than impressive you ain't doing something right. Research first then focus on how your going to reach your goal.

this program should be ideal for you (only if you are concentrating on building up rather than competitive boxing right now)

you gotta get your nutrition right to so have a look at the link in my sig.

And Sudhenkoy, while as a general rule its good to stick to natural and unprocessed foods, chemicals are not bad things in themselves, even natural foods break down to the same chemicals. Pure water is a chemical.

Also not all foods that are processed or ´man-made´are bad either. Like cooking food for example, you could ea everything raw, but cooking can kill harmful bacteria, make foods easier to digest etc.

As far as food goes eat a lot of proteins, all food contain proteins but not all contain proteins and little fat.

-Red meats(Can be expensive depending on your budget. But great.)
              -Chicken(Not fried chicken if possible.)
-Eggs(Try not to eat too many yolks as they are pretty fatty.)
-Nuts(Almonds, Cashews, Peanuts. Not fried if possible.)
-Fish(Once again, not fried if you can. Personally i buy canned tuna and eat sandwiches a couple of days a week, chill on on mayo though.)
              -Pastas

Also, try eating smaller meals 4 times a day instead of 2 or 3 larger meals. Fruits and vegetables too.

Tuna and wheatbread is great. I wouldnt eat tuna much more than 2 times a week though because of mercury contamination, sounds like bull**** but apparently a real thing.

You mean good for you or to the taste? As far as being good for you, yeah, nothing beats wheat bread. For the taste, well depends on what you like.

Edit: Trrmo is right, do no eat fish every day. 2-3 times a weak is fine.
