i started when i was 18 almost 19 and now im 20 i learned alot go for it man jus go amatuer and see how u do.

my runs didn't extend past two or three miles until i turned eighteen. now i run six miles twice a week

even if u start as an old man, u'll get better with more practice. i don't box or even spar anymore but i never stopped training. i'm old and arthritic with diminshed skills but my technique still gets better and better, my left hook ( and jab) is much better than it was when i was in the amateurs, i can even slip and slide a little bit. just because u can't go pro doesn't mean u can't train or learn some skills

I started at 34. It's never too late. The cutoff for amateur competition is 34, but there is a Master Division (shorter rounds & 16 oz. gloves, but hey, us old farts have to be at work the next day) for ages 35+. Some Golden Gloves competitions are now having Master Division bouts.
